Fantini Farnese

In 1582, Princess Margaret of Austria, daughter of Emperor Charles V, married the Duke of Parma Ottavio Farnese and bought the town of Ortona for 52000 ducats. Charmed by the picturesque landscape of the region, she decided to build a leisure castle on the coast. Construction of "Margaret" as the castle was affectionately named, boosted the use of the neighboring lands thus developing viticulture and winemaking …

Today, FANTINI FARNESE company continues cultivating the very same vineyards which are excellently exposed. According to the wine critic Antonio Galloni from "Wine Advocate" magazine, FARNESE wines are clear, "right" and very tasty. The estate does not go much away from its main direction — production of simple, properly made wines.

This estate offers an unbeaten ''price/quality'' ratio and is part of FARNESE GROUP which was many times awarded the title of the best Italian producer of the year (BEST ITALIAN PRODUCER 2016&2017).
